In hard times, like now, it becomes even more important to get together and brew good tea. Learning how people take care of tea plants, and what tea brings back to people. And to share tea friendship stories. We arrange this event with a hope to bring peace and comfort to human hearts

Location

Ozurgeti is a capital of Guria province, the main tea region and center of Georgian tea science.

Distance

Nearest international airport is Batumi 48 km away from Ozurgeti.

Options

Tbilisi or Kutaisi airports are good options too, both places have direct transportation to Ozurgeti.

Afterparty

For heavy tea drinkers there will be afterparty held in Bakhmaro, mountainous resort south-east of Ozurgeti. It lays on 2000 m elevation. On 18th and 19th July we will enjoy tea and hikes there, welcome to join. Accommodation options are limited in Bakhmaro, if you interested please let us know in advance at support@tea4b.com

Tea4b Best of Georgia Tea Awards

Awards is a core event of Imagine Tea Fest Georgia 2022. Local producers will present their teas in four categories

White tea

Green tea

Black tea

Composition

White, green and black teas shall be 100% Georgia origin. Tea composition may include tea blend or different herbal ingredients, with no less then 50% of local grown components.

This competition aims to improve overall quality of Georgian tea, show its best sides. We form a jury of international tea experts, who will test teas and give their straight feedback to producers.

If you are interesting to be a jury member, send an email to alex@tea4b.com with subject “Georgian Tea Awards 2022”. Please write us about your experience in tea, especially in tea testing or production.

International Online Tea Auction

Here starts an online auction for unique tea lots. All “Best of Georgian tea 2022” winning teas plus judges selected lots will be presented for online purchase. It is ascending-bid, first-price auction.

Bids will be taken for eight days and auction will be finished on July 25th 23.59 Georgia time.

Tea lots will be send to winners by Georgia post or other express delivery service of their choice.
